General questions

Internal scholarships and allowance

How much is the monthly allowance for private-university students in Kuwait?

Most likely KD 200 a month for a single student and KD 350 for a married one: that is the 2012 increase reported by Al-Anba and the amount KILAW states. The 2011 decision on the PUC site says KD 100 (before the increase), and the PUC hasn't published the current figure, so confirm with your university. It is paid to scholarship and self-paying students and stops at graduation.

What cancels an internal scholarship, and what do I owe if I'm dismissed?

Under the internal scholarship regulation (Decision 206 of 2025), three consecutive academic warnings or four separate ones end the scholarship. Dismissal or withdrawal after the first week leaves you owing 50% of the fees the state paid.

GPA and probation

What's the difference between cumulative GPA and term GPA?

Term GPA covers one term's courses only. Cumulative GPA covers every course you've taken at the university. Academic warning, graduation and your scholarship all depend on the cumulative GPA.

GPA and probation

How do I calculate my GPA?

Multiply each grade's points by the course credits, add them up, and divide by the total credits. Example: an A in a 3-credit course (4 × 3 = 12), a B in 3 credits (3 × 3 = 9) and a C in 4 credits (2 × 4 = 8): 29 ÷ 10 credits = 2.90.

Registration and calendar

When is the Spring 2027 class schedule published?

Spring 2027 schedules are out at GUST. The others publish before registration, and Kullia refreshes every 6 hours.
