GPA and probation
How do I calculate my GPA?
Quick answer
Multiply each grade's points by the course credits, add them up, and divide by the total credits. Example: an A in a 3-credit course (4 × 3 = 12), a B in 3 credits (3 × 3 = 9) and a C in 4 credits (2 × 4 = 8): 29 ÷ 10 credits = 2.90.
- For cumulative GPA do the same across all terms, or start from your current GPA and credits and add the new term.
- Grade points differ a little between universities (D+ for example), so use your university's scale.
